Brief Introduction:

The Department of Economics was started in 1979 under North-Eastern Hill University, Mizoram Campus. In July 2001, the Department was established under Mizoram University with student intake capacity of 40. There has recently been a lot of improvement in the performance and percentage of successful students including PhD scholars.
