Admission Opens for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme for the Session 2017-18:
Admission Details for Bachelor of Education:
  1. Mode of Submission of Application:online (hard copy of online application must be submitted within two weeks after the last date of online submission.
  2. Intake:50 Seats(25 Arts+25Sciences)
  3. Eligibility Criteriafor Admission into B.Ed.Programme:
  4. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanities, or
  5. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks, or
  6. Any other qualification equivalent thereto (as per NCTE regulations 2014), is eligible for admission to the programme.

Note: The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination 2017 will also be eligible to apply. However their candidature for admission into the said course will be considered, only if they will be able to produce their mark sheets of the qualifying examination by 10th July 2017.

  1. Reservation and Relaxation of Conditions:

The reservation and relaxation conditions for admission into B.Ed. for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories candidates shall be as per rules of the Central Government/ Mizoram University, whichever is applicable.

  1. Last Date for submission of online Application:

The last date for submission of online Application for admission into B.Ed. programme is 31stMay 2017.Printed/hard copy of the application should be submitted within two weeks from the closing date for online submission.

  1. Admission Criteria:
    Admission shall be based on the basis of the following two criteria:

  1. Question Paper Pattern of the Entrance Test:

The question paper shall consist of the following four sections:
Section-A                  :           General English           (25 Questions)
Section-B                  :           General Studies           (25 Questions)
Section-C                  :           Reasoning                   (25 Questions)
Section-D                  :           Teaching Aptitude      (25 Questions)

Note: Entrancetest will carry 100 multiple-choice questions of one mark each,and the duration of the test will be 120 minutes.

  1. Instructions to candidates regarding submission of form: (All applicants must read user guides for Online Application,which is given on admission portal  https://mzuegov.in/mzuadm, for detail instructions.)

The application form should be submitted through MZU Admission Portal. No other mode of submission will be accepted. Application fee is Rs.200/- ( for all) payable through online mode only.

After completion and submission of the online form, filled-in form will be generated in PDF format. Applicant must submit the printed/hard copy of the filled-in form along with all necessary documents within two weeks from the closing date for online submission to the following address:
