Brief Introduction:

The department of Psychology was established in 1983 under the erstwhile Mizoram Campus of North Eastern Hill University. The academic program started in the month of october of the same year of its establishment, initially with a modest staff headed by the late Professor B.B Chaterjee. since then, the Department has been steadily growing in its teaching programs and research endeavours, and also extends psychological services to the needs of individuals and oranisations.

In order to complete the program in M.A. Psychology, students shall undergo professional training/exposure in the IV Semester, whichever the specialisation, to gain professional knowledge in important organisational/ industrial/mental health institutes offering such services, and thereof submit a report of such learning experiences to the university.
