Brief Introduction:

 

                  The department of political Science came into being in 2002 with a student strength of 31 and 3 Guest Lecturers. Over a period of 4 years the department has grown into a full fledged faculty with 1 Professor, 1 Reader and 3 Lecturers. The department has grown in developing its infrastructure of Books and Computer System with Internet facility which are available to the students.

The Department has Organised /Conducted:-

1.        Public lecture  & Workshop on "Universality of Human Rights" on 14th & 15th April 2005 with Prof. Charles Douglas Lummis, Rajni Kothari Chair Professor in Democracy, CSDS, New Delhi. as Resource Person.

2.       NEC sponsored National Seminar in collaboration with NABARD on "Peace and development: Role of the State and Civil Society in Mizoram" on 2nd & 3rd November 2007.
